Alex Eberhöfer, 36 yearsProfession: mountain guide (since 1997) and skiing instructor (since 1991) - living in Flims / GR, Switzerland Having grown up in Flims, I devoted my youth time mainly to ski sports and took part in regional ski races. Relatively late, I discovered the fascination of the mountains in summer and began climbing. Private tours led me to Canada and Alaska several times, where I undertook different trekking tours, partially also alone. It was the decision to make the mountain guide education which led me to the climbing walls in the Alps and abroad. Great experiences and personal challenges were, amongst others, the climbing trip in Jordan, the climb of Kilimanjaro (4 x), and the expedition to the summit of Ama Dablam (6856m). In my work as a mountain guide, I attach great importance to the beauty of nature. My guests shall learn to appreciate the small wonders of mountain landscapes and discover that not only the big mountains with well-known names are appealing. As a professional mountain guide I am out in the mountains mainly with individual clients. But I also do guiding for schools like Bergfalke or Pontresina. Since 2000 I offer mountain adventure in winter and summer under the name Rock and Snow. E-mail: schweiz[at]everest-2003.com(please replace [at] by @) Many thanks for generous support to |
